  I was made to look really stupid when going back to the store to return some bananas I had delivered. I had by mistake bought 7 bags of bananas instead of 7 bananas. Before going, I contacted Tesco online before returning the bananas as I wasn't sure if I could take back produce. I was told, yes take them back to the nearest Tesco. Took them back and I was told by the (I believe) store manager that I was not able to get a refund unless they are damaged. Really? (obviously making up his own policy) He was insisting he was correct and would not budge and because I ordered them by accident, that was my problem and he couldn't do anything about it. As I walked out, the bag split and they went all over the floor. So embarrassing. Worst experience. Overall, there are few awesome staff on the till however, many times some staff do not acknowledge customers and continue talking to their mates on the next till. And the guy who works in the freezer department. He always talks to my young son and points out the best deals. Very friendly. No one wears their name badges either. I rather shop in Waitrose due to the lack of customer service.
